My 3 Future Life Goals

As I'm turning 19 in June I want to start to figure out what I want to do in life before I hit my twenties, so naturally, I'm going to have to write some big goals down. At the moment I have a 5-year goal, fitness goal, and a Career Goal.

Now my 5-year Goal is a big one that comes with a hell of a lot of responsibilities. So by the time I'm twenty-five I want to at least have the deposit for a house loan saved up. As I myself don't have the knowledge of how house loans work or anything about owning a house, I don't know if this goal is realistic. But I'm prepared to have a good old crack at it and see where it takes me. Seriously though every time I think about it I get majorly stressed about the fact that this goal is sooooo big. I always have to remind myself that anything can happen if I put in the effort. First things first I have to physically save the money... I'm such an impulse buyer it's getting quite ridiculous. When I get myself a better paying job I'm aiming to start saving $100 a week at the start of 2019 (By the way I'm starting this in 2019 because at the moment I don't get enough hours where I work and the pay isn't all that great. Fingers crossed I get a better job by the new year).

Some ways that I'm going to save money are:

  • Eating at home more often

  • Buying vegetables that the markets

  • Simply not buying anything to decorate my room (Which I seem to do all the time)

  • Having some type of visual representation of how much I've saved.

I'll be sure to post a bigger and more descriptive list soon.

My second Goal is to get my fitness back up to a level where I'm happy with how I feel and look. At the start of last year, I was going to the gym pretty regularly and I felt amazing. I had started to get back the same amount of energy I had before high school weighed me down. Something else that I noticed at the time was that I was hardly getting sick. Let's just say my immune system isn't the best at times which is the main reason for this goal. I can't tell you how much I love to exercise, I just always feel so uplifted by the fact that I'm doing something that in the long term will help me massively. My favourite ways of getting exercise are jogging on a treadmill or doing a 'Balance' class at the gym. I also do weights but ew, that's something I do not like doing.

Some small things I'm going to change in my lifestyle are:

  • Drink more water

  • Eat more fruits

  • Make my own fresh juices

  • Exercise at least 3 times a week

The Last goal that I've got at the moment is a career goal. There isn't a time restraint as it's about finding what I want to end up doing for a good portion of my life. Ultimately I want to be my own boss, I like to have control about what I'm doing and when. A few things that I was thinking about are starting my own Fashion Label, Blogging or Youtube. Throughout High School, I was all for starting a Fashion Label, but after I graduated I was kinda stuck thinking if that's what I really wanted. So for a year I've been just doing my thing and not letting myself get too caught up in the feeling of not knowing what's going to happen. Instead, I focused on becoming an adult and enjoying all parts of my life that I can. So now I'm experimenting with starting this blog and I'm also doing an online Fashion Course. Which I haven't got much done as I'm just still so unsure of what I want to do. All I know is I want to do something challenging with no creativity resections and be my own boss.

Some things that I'm hoping my help me are:

  • Having a go at different careers to see which one suits me the best

  • Research, I've found this a big help so far

  • Inspirational boards

  • Talking to others about it

One thing that has defiantly helped me stay focused on my goals are inspirational boards with quotes, pictures, and research. I've found that they are amazing to remind you to stay focused to reach your goals.

I would love if you left a comment about your goals, big and small.
