10 Steps to the Perfect Pamper Night

Ever had those days were nothing goes right? That run to work where multiple red lights are run through and you only make it there with a minute to spare. Then when you get home the dog has decided that they simply can't go to the toilet outside because the grass is wet and instead gone on the carpets. EW! Or you've walked past the mirror and court yourself at the wrong angle, which turns into hating how you look for the rest of the day. We've all been there! Everyone needs a time where they can relax and de-stress. My answer to this is have a pamper night by yourself.

As an eighteen-year-old that doesn't get paid much I can't just go to the spa and get all the treatments, so I just bring the spa to my home. This is also great when you're trying to save money but are in a need of some pampering. Having a pamper night always makes me feel more productive and just overall happier.

1. Music

First things MUSIC. I'm always listening to music no matter what I'm doing, it's always playing in the background. Sometimes while I'm doing all this pampering I play some beach noises or bird sounds as it is very relaxing. Most of the time I'm just listening to my usual music that consists of Halsey, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and G-Eazy.

2. Candles

Light them all, no matter where (just not near anything flammable). Turn the lights off and enjoy the mood lighting while you relax.

3. Bath

Baths are that relaxing that sometimes I bearly make it out and into my bed before passing out. My Cousin recently had thoughtfully gifted me with the Scooper Dopper foaming bath soak from Zoella's range. She once saw me wistfully looking at it in target and decided to get me a little treat (she's so thoughtful). This is an amazing bubbly product, oh my gosh does it create bubbles. They also feel smooth and moisturising, also fun to blow around, if you're a little childish like me. If you don't have a bath a warm shower is just the same, although not possibly as fun and bubbly.

If I have a shower I like to exfoliate to achieve soft glowing skin and then I also shave afterward to make my legs look amazing.

4. Drink and some snacks

Now get yourself a nice hot chocolate and some cute snacks. If you're weird and don't like hot chocolate maybe a tea, detox tea or just some plain old chilled water is also great. When I'm having a little pamper night I mostly just eat fruit as it makes me feel 'healthy' and feel better about my body. Then the next day I'm back to eating takeout, as per usual.

5. Skincare

On these special days, I like to sit down and take extra time to cleanse my skin to make it look healthy and glowing again. Here you can find my Nightly Routine for all the products I use. I always do a mask before and also exfoliate in the shower so that I don't get water everywhere over the sink, just make sure to turn the water temperature down a little.

6. Hair Care

After I've washed my hair in the shower or bath I like to add in a hair oil in the ends of my wet hair to give it a natural shine. This also helps split ends from being so dry and gross (I kind of need a haircut). If I also have a hair mask laying around I will do it while I'm in the shower so that my hair is nice and soft.

7. Moisterise

Every morning and night I moisturise all of my skin as it gets very dry and itchy if I don't. Throughout a pamper night I will apply 3 diffent ones while I do other things, the first two are the ones I use for my tan which is explained in my Nightly Routine post. The third one is often one that smells amazing and I will just randomly apply it where ever is a little dryier than usual, this seems like so much but I seriously have VERY dry skin otherwise. There is nothing else that I've tried that works.

8. Nails

I don't know what it is but taking the time and putting the effort into painting your finger and toenails just seem to make us better prettier. As I bite myfinger nails (which I'm struggling with as it's something that happens when I'm about to have a panic attack or get anxious) I don't paint them as I find that it directs everyone's attention to my horrible nails which makes me want to bite them even more. But painting my toenails has the same effect as doing our nails does, I guess.

9. DIY's

Everyone loves a good DIY. Have a look on Pinterest for great DIY ideas, there seems to be an endless list of ones I want to do. Check out my DIY board for some awesome fun-filled ideas.

10. Final Step...

Now the final step is something everyone struggles with on a daily basis... go to bed EARLY. When I go to bed early I always wake up earlier, feel fresh and more motivated to get work done before the time I would usually wake up feeling groggy and tired.

Have you got any other idea for a Pamper Party? What's your favourite day to have one?
